This is more like....

Hey your about to beat the (1980's computer) game.

But personally no preference! Causes this song is SMOKIN'.

Break it down! The dual video game snyths make a great balancing melody with nothing else but a few drums, like kicks.

Great job still on the dual video game snyths :)

Harder SYNTH in update

THANK YOU.... we can always use that :)

It is a bit repetitive at places.... but then you can call a lot of songs repetitive. These is the ultimate mix of Industrial and Video Game.

More kicks, and drums though.

And more ideas though. There are a lot of them, but not enough for this song.

NeoDeadlyRave responds:

At the time my computer wasn't powerful enough to handle so many tracks because it would freeze, but I had already decided I was gonna re-make this song. :) Thanks!

Ha, you know how i feel

when at the bottom it says that no instruments are programmed and all arranged by the same person. And sounds so good.

It tells so much about how much work someone put it for something like this.

Definitely reflects, and sounds SICK>. The drums and guitar shine really the whole time with great melodies that are derived from the ONE AND ONLY MARIO!
But, the Keys and Flutes created something so much more awesome and really a sweet spot!

Ohh, and look theres like 10 more :OOOOOOOOO Holy crap man

Massive Win!

Man, that was hot.

The already perfect song now has brother remix. There have been several attempts at remixing this classical, and until now there has never been a good one.

The instruments are really good, with stellar selection and awesome effects. The singing is missed though, so its not so original.

But the instrumental is awesome!

Don't turn in off until 0:35

Or your'e committing a crime:)

No seriously it builds a lot. It takes a steep incline at 0:35 and it keeps going up hill from there. That's mainly why we have it at 8 minutes lol.

I really appreciate it switching melodies and moods, but keeps same original instruments and theme.

Also beautiful strings that mix with the great 8 bit melody there.

Only one suggestion... and its the big thing that its missing. DRUMS... plz....zz.
I hear it in there, but its definitely not enough for this song. yes.

more drums. there are instances where its no required as much, but i still suggest you have them in the back-ground

WOW PPL

This genre is called hip-hop.

I hate rap like Zaffe. But this isn't Eminem where dropping f' bomb every 3 seconds. This isn't even rap until the end verses. Its like somebody singing poetry with a hard drum/piano beat.

So all you rap haters... just listen, read, or think that this isn't normal rap.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The vocals are stellar. I can tell you have worked a lot on vocals, so why can't you work a little harder on the piano (which was great choice).
Only saying that because piano is two loud for its repetitiveness.
Still awesome though
DarkEcko702 responds:
Thanks for the support man.
There is a HUGE disparity these days between "underground" and simple "hip hop", and it shows with people who don't appreciate the music. My goal is not to make a CD, sell a thousand copies and pretend I'm somebody I'm not. I just want to test my vocal and songwriting up against the best.
I'm still getting the hang of music production - which explains why I use other people's amazing beats on Newgrounds to go over. So when I can master making tracks, best believe I'm coming out with some original shit.
Thanks again for the support man!
Unlike Poobaman,
There is no synthetic (to get this straight he is probably thinking of .bit synthetic) in this song.
A simple beat with low piano.
And two melodies, one main and one that only comes in sometimes and is softer.
The acoustics are a perfect match into this piano theme.
Great job
I like the minor tone
Great melody there with the half major/half minor tone..... there in the beginning.
The transition at 1:20 got me thinking, but then went back to the repetitive melody. The drums and .bit accompaniments really beef up the original melody.
If i were you, i would just make at least 2 or 3 melodies to keep people interested in your stuff.
Also a pointer here, if its background music, then it should be looping ALOT better man. (5 second silence)
jonyxmetal responds:
Thanks to comment, very consistent XD
It was an odd look on my face
when i saw that this piece was entirely piano (awesome of course) but listed under video game.
I don't know if you did, but i would have thought twice, classical or video game.... because with video game origins, but in a classical format.
I am a very big fan of people who write most of their music (and take some from the game) then play it on the piano for newgrounds. Thank you
ShatterTheSky22 responds:
I agree, and I did. I think I chose video game because I thought the people browsing the video game section would appreciate it more and get the references.
Thank you very much for the score and review, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Jazz and Techno!
LOL, with your catchy melodies, this is irresistible to listen to...
Also i really like that modified pan flute at the beginning with the bass. The vocals are pretty good because there at the right rhythm and volume.
Nice drums too :)
But my all time favorite was the catchy mute guitar theme. (if any instruments are off, give me a break im guessing out of thousands :))
I have a thing for music. I always have. Of course not making music, no, it's always been playing it! I don't even care about the flash portal these days, only to get higher levels on my account. Visit my facebook page for the best ever audio reviews!
